Every workspace has a root key and can create named keys under Settings → API keys in the dashboard. Your own name, email and password live under Account. All keys of a workspace share its plan, credits and concurrency limit.

Handling keys

  • Keep the key in an environment variable named DRIVER_API_KEY. Don’t commit it or paste it into prompts, tickets or logs.
  • One key per integration, so a leaked key can be rolled without touching the others. Rolling invalidates the old value immediately.
  • The root key can’t be deleted, only rolled.
  • Keys belong to the workspace, not the person. Removing someone from the workspace doesn’t invalidate keys they created. Roll them if that matters.

Which workspace am I in

A key belongs to one workspace. Every session it creates is billed to that workspace and listed under its Telemetry. If you’re in several workspaces, check the switcher at the top of the dashboard before creating a key.

Errors

401: the key is missing, malformed or rolled. 402 and 403 are about the workspace’s credits and plan, not the key. See Errors.
